Gun violence has been a hot topic many years now but has been thrown even more into the limelight recently. It has had some very big impacts in America especially. In 2018, there have been 307 mass shootings, and in those shootings, 113 people were either killed or injured. One deadly shooting, in particular, happened at a concert in Las Vegas, and 58 people were killed. That brings up another discussion: Should guns be allowed in America? The majority of U.S. citizens will answer no, U.S. citizens do not need guns in their homes. Those who believe that citizens have the right to bear arms argue that guns can be used in good ways. These positives include hunting, going to gun ranges, and many other harmless gun activities. In those activities, the objective is not to harm anyone but accidents may occur. All in all, U.S. citizens do currently have the right to bear arms but guns can and should be controlled for the safety of Americans and the rest of the world.
