Wands For Wildlife: An Interview With Libby Hagenbuch

by Anastasia Rea

8th grader Libby Hagenbuch recently came up with a new idea for Ottawa Hills students to do good in the world and donate. She has found an organization called Wands for Wildlife that donates old mascara wands for use on animal fur. She explains “The wands are the perfect size to remove harmful parasites from their fur.” This “wandraiser” she hopes will get the whole school involved. She hopes to collect a lot of wands at school and from local Toledo businesses. This idea came from “scrolling around on my phone and this ad popped up and I thought it was a great idea.” Hopefully soon this idea will become a reality so make sure to bring in wands!
