Is Tupac Shakur Alive?

by Ali Sediqe

On September 7, 1996, American rapper Tupac Shakur was shot dead in LA while watching a boxing match. Or was he? Many people believe that 2pac never died, making this one of the biggest American conspiracies. So let’s dive in. Is he alive, or is he dead? The conventional wisdom is what I stated above, that he is dead. One recent theory by filmmaker Rick Boss who is filming a movie about what he thinks actually happened to 2Pac. The movie is called 2Pac: The Great Escape From UMC. It is about 2Pac once hearing about a planned attempt on his life places a body double in Suge Knight’s (his good friend he was with that night) BMW and escaped to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, then went down to a Navajo Tribe in New Mexico for protection, where federal agents couldn’t get him. Boss claims that these are facts through certain people he knows. Another theory (not being made into a movie) from 2Pac’s bodyguard is that he helped smuggle Shakur’s body to Cuba. The last of the 4 prominent theories (those are that he is dead, he is in a Navajo Tribe, he is in Cuba, and the one I’m about to state) is Suge Knight’s son claiming that 2Pac is alive through a series of bizarre Instagram posts and claims of him being seen in South Africa, but he later reversed his claim. There are many other small ideas and claims about 2Pac and “insiders” who know what happened to him and all these theories have their own mini cults, but we don’t have enough room to cover them. All in all, this is probably a mystery that will never be solved. One thing we do know for sure is that Rick Boss will make a lot of money with that new movie of his.
